My May Intentions

Hello everyone! It’s time for my monthly intentions. This months’ intentions are piggy-backing on April’s intentions because many of them are part of the spiritual work that I’m doing.

For the month of May, much of my focus is on bringing my awareness to my thoughts, inner dialogues, and energies that I am putting out into the Universe. In April, I read What God Said, and it helped me consider how some of my beliefs and thoughts might be affecting my outer world (and my health)!

Intention #1

Since reading this book, I have been practicing the Be-Do-Have mindset and intend to continue for months to come! I like experimenting with life, and this concept intrigued me. If you’re unfamiliar with the Be-Do-Have mindset, I’d recommend picking up the book What God Said or reading my post about it!

May Intentions

Intention #2

Next, I have already started doing what I call a “spiritual triathlon” every morning. Upon waking up, I spend five minutes thinking about everything I am grateful for. The next five minutes I meditate. Then my final five minutes I read something inspirational. So far, it has been a nice way to start my day!

Intention #3

Intention #3 is all about getting my body moving every day. I committed to doing a Beachbody program called Transform:20. So far, doing this program has been fun because three other girlfriends of mine are doing it too! Every day, we send each other a photo of ourselves upon completion of the day’s workout. There is NO competition, just sheer support and accountability!

What I have been reminded of time and time again is that moving my body is an incredible mood booster. When I feel low, cranky, or just ‘off’, one of the best ways to snap myself out of it is to move my body vigorously. A good sweat and moving energy around my body almost always helps!

Intention #4

As many of you have seen in my past intentions (check out the archives if you want to read previous months’ intentions), I generally set the intention to read a book and then blog about it (whether I enjoy the book or not).

This month, I am reading “The Soul of Money: Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Life“. Do you see a theme in my life right now? Even my workout program is about transformation!

I’m examining my inner beliefs around things that I know are a little “off” within me. Money has been one of them for a very long time.

Intention #5

And finally, my fifth intention for the month is to change the words I choose when describing my hopes and desires. Instead of “hoping” something will happen, I am choosing more positive, affirming words such as “I have faith that…” or “I feel sure…” I feel certain that by shifting how I approach the universe, it will respond in kind.
