Hi, I’m Wendy and I am the creator behind the The Sensitive Soul Blog. When I am not blogging, I am a full-time mother, wife, and therapist with a background in counseling and education.

I love spending my leisure time outdoors, exercising, developing my spiritual and self-care practices, learning, reading, traveling, and exploring my curiosity about holistic wellness.

Although all of these things are very enjoyable, what makes this sensitive soul’s heart happiest is simply being at home.  There’s no way around it, I am an unapologetic homebody.  Ahhh, I love being home!


I have always had a high level of empathy and sensitivity, but it wasn’t until adulthood that I discovered WHY I experienced the world in the way I did (and still do).

Through years of self-discovery and inquiry, I learned that I embody the Highly Sensitive Person trait. Finally! Everything clicked and made sense. I experience my world through this very special lens, which will be shared throughout my blog entries. My hope is to help others understand what life can be like as a highly sensitive person since it is commonly misunderstood in our society.

The Sensitive Soul’s Mission

The Sensitive Soul Blog is a health and wellness forum with a mission to educate and help others learn about holistic healing modalities for the body, mind, and spirit.

This blog is about sharing my life, encouraging a wellness lifestyle , and connecting with others!

Over the past decade, I spent years trying to heal mysterious health ailments to no avail through conventional and non-conventional avenues. After realizing that my body was inundated with toxins, riddled with inflammation, and suffering from breast implant illness, I started making changes to my life.

I started changing my lifestyle and adopted a non-toxic, holistic way of living in hopes to alleviate symptoms and prevent future dis-eases from occurring.  I share what I learn and experiment with along the way.

In the midst of my struggle and my healing journey, I decided to start this blog as a way to help others who might be searching for healthier ways to feel better.

Whether you’re suffering from mental illness, chronic illness, boredom, a spiritual black hole, or general life and identity changes, this space is for YOU.

So as you will see on this blog, there is a place for everyone.  Whether you’re highly sensitive or not, this blog is about inspiring you to feel your best and to live your happiest, healthiest life!
